C.S. Lewis Quote – A Day’s Encouragement and Motivation
Some days can be overwhelming with cares of the world. Putting up with everyday living, survival itself. Even writers may find it difficult to pen down their thoughts when the spirit is willing, the flesh is run down, and brain’s dried out. It’s midnight again.Whilst flipping through one of my favourite notebooks containing a collection of lifelong quotations and sayings, I found this page with a short passage that captured my thoughts, something from C.S. Lewis.
“How could we endure to live and let time pass
if we were always crying for one day or one year to come back -
if we did not know that every day in life
fills the whole life with expectation and memory
and that these are that day.” ~ C.S. Lewis, Out of the Silent Planet ~
if we were always crying for one day or one year to come back -
if we did not know that every day in life
fills the whole life with expectation and memory
and that these are that day.” ~ C.S. Lewis, Out of the Silent Planet ~
Thanks for the encouragement and motivation, C.S. Lewis. But sometimes we need to clear the air. A time to be.
